So last night I was bored out of my tree! Bored-er than usual. I baked banana bread. And was still bored. I facebooked. Still bored. I read blogs. Still bored. And cleaning the floors on my hands and knees is out of the question so I decided to call it a night at 11:30 (Kev was at a business dinner and the kids were fast asleep). I went in to kiss little Nate goodnight and he opens his eyes and he says "Papa?" "No it's momma" "Papa?" "No Nate it's momma" That boy is beyond obsessed with is papa. His hair was crazy and his sweet little face was beyond sweet. I needed snuggles (and pictures). I thought it was the perfect opportunity to nab some. So I picked him up out of his crib (after taking pictures-who can resist bed head and that sleepy little face), and sat in the rocker with him. He snuggled for a total of 2 minutes before he wanted down. Well I had nothing else better to do so I let him down to see what he would do. And that boy wanted to party. I couldn't say no, he looked too sweet. So we partied, in his room, with the lights off (except for the hallway light). And it was perfect. That boy makes me smile. And his personality is just as crazy as his hair. And one on one time with him is rare so I took it all in. It's funny to watch him by himself without his brother competing for my attention too. I wish I had more moments like last night. Sitting in a dark room watching him do his thing was the perfect end to my day long boring day on the couch. It also made me realize I need a little more one on one time with my littlest...maybe just not at 11:30 at night:-) When Kev came home Nate ran out of his room yelling "dada" It scared the bejesus out of Kev (he thought I was sleeping and Nate escaped out of his crib and was running around the house unsupervised). But nope we were partying and I think I fell even in more in love with my sweet little Nate (OK I know I fell even more in love with that little guy:-). That boy knows how to melt my heart! Oh I love him to pieces!
Love that... I wondered about the light actually.. I was thinking, its sure dim in there for a morning bunch of photos..! funny! :)
